COLORITALIA was founded in 1997 by members of the management of BASF in Fiorano Modenese.
Since its formation COLORITALIA has been BASF's exclusive dealer of coloring oxides, colors and additives for the ceramic industry, glass and other related products in Italy. In the following years other major markets have been added.
In 2000 COLORITALIA started to produce colors for decoration and third firing (Colorcer ® and Colorglaze ®).
In 2010 the company became part of international group of Taiwan WANXING, the world leader in the manufacture of dyes encapsulated in Cd-Se.
The group operates in Europe with sales offices in Italy, Spain and Turkey, produces in Foshan factories in China more than 6000 tons of coloring oxides and this buyout has added a manufacturing site and a prestigious brand to the company.
The internal research laboratory is dedicated to research and development of new products and manufacturing processes. The chemists of the company are also involved in quality control of all incoming raw materials as well as finished products.
